OPEN CALL „GRUND 4 SUPPORT“ bei den SOLI EVENTS – Hilf mit, die nächsten Monate mitzugestalten! ❤️

Wir sind 4lthangrund, ein selbstorganisiertes soziales und kulturelles Zentrum in Wien 1090 und 1200. Seit 2018 teilen sich mehr als 30 Kollektive, Initiativen und politische Projekte unsere Räume, um gemeinsam zu organisieren, zu gestalten, zu lernen und Gemeinschaft aufzubauen.

Anfang 2026 mussten wir unser langjähriges Zuhause in der Alten WU verlassen. Obwohl wir erfolgreich zwei neue langfristige Standorte sichern konnten (4lthangrund 1090 – Nordbergstraße 8 und 4lthangrund 1200 – Romanogasse 28), brachte der Umzug enorme Kosten mit sich: Kautionen, Renovierungen, Umzugskosten und deutlich höhere Mieten. Bis zum Jahresende fehlen uns noch rund 40.000 Euro. Gleichzeitig eignen sich unsere neuen Räume nicht mehr für Konzerte, Partys und Kulturveranstaltungen, die bisher unser Projekt mitfinanziert und unsere Community zusammengebracht haben.

Deshalb bringen wir den 4lthangrund auf die Straße.

In den kommenden Monaten organisieren wir eine Reihe von Solidaritätsveranstaltungen an verschiedenen Orten in Wien. Mit diesen Events wollen wir unsere Räume erhalten, Kultur und politische Organisierung zugänglich machen und Geld für die laufenden Kosten unseres neuen Zuhauses sammeln. Jeder Beitrag – ob auf der Bühne, hinter den Kulissen oder an einem Infotisch – hilft dabei, einen unabhängigen, nicht-kommerziellen und kollektiv organisierten Raum zu erhalten.

Wir suchen Künstlerinnen, Musikerinnen, DJs, VJs, Performerinnen, Workshop-Leiterinnen, Initiativen, Kollektive und helfende Hände, die diese Veranstaltungen gemeinsam mit uns möglich machen.

Wen wir suchen

🎤 Inhalte & Programm

Workshops, Vorträge, Diskussionen, Filmvorführungen, Lesungen, Listening Sessions, Performances oder andere Formate, die Menschen zusammenbringen, zum Austausch einladen und sich mit politischen, sozialen oder kulturellen Themen beschäftigen.

Bei den kommenden Veranstaltungen möchten wir uns besonders mit den Themen „Recht auf Stadt“ und DIY-Räume auseinandersetzen sowie mit unserem Jahresthema „re/pot“ – also allem, was mit Umzug, Ankommen, Weggehen, Zugehörigkeit und Veränderung zu tun hat.

🎧 DJs & 🎸 Bands

Von entspannten Ambient-Nachmittagen bis zu nächtlichen Dancefloors, von Tekno über experimentelle Klanglandschaften bis zu Punk-Konzerten – wir freuen uns über musikalische Beiträge aller Art. Ob Newcomer*in oder langjährige Legende – ihr seid alle willkommen!

📺 VJs

Live-Visuals, Projektionen, analoge Experimente, Mapping oder digitale Kunstwerke, die Räume verwandeln und neue Atmosphären schaffen.

🎨 Künstler*innen

Installationen, Ausstellungen, Interventionen, Fotografie, Skulptur, Malerei, Textilkunst, Lichtkunst oder interaktive Arbeiten. Wir möchten, dass jede Veranstaltung mehr ist als nur eine Bühne.

📚 Infotische

Politische, soziale und kulturelle Initiativen sind eingeladen, ihre Arbeit, Kampagnen, Publikationen und Projekte vorzustellen. Solidaritätsveranstaltungen sollen nicht nur Geld sammeln, sondern auch Menschen zusammenbringen, Austausch ermöglichen und Bewegungen stärken.

🎭 Open Stage

Poetry, Spoken Word, Stand-up, Lesungen, akustische Musik, Performances oder Ideen, die in keine klassischen Formate passen.

🛠️ Support-Crew

Hinter jeder Veranstaltung steht ein Team, das dafür sorgt, dass alles reibungslos läuft. Unterstütze uns an der Bar, beim Einlass, im Awareness-Team, bei der Security, in der Küche, beim Auf- und Abbau, in der Logistik oder überall dort, wo zusätzliche Hände gebraucht werden.

Für die meisten Aufgaben ist keine Vorerfahrung notwendig (Ausnahme: Security & Awareness). Entscheidend sind Motivation, Verlässlichkeit und Lust, gemeinsam etwas auf die Beine zu stellen.

Gemeinsam können wir DIY-Räume für Musik, Kultur, politisches Engagement und gemeinsames Vergnügen schaffen – und dazu beitragen, dass 4lthangrund noch viele Jahre lang bestehen bleibt.

OPEN CALL “GRUND 4 SUPPORT” at SOLI EVENTS – Help us shape the next months! ❤️

We are 4lthangrund, a self-organized social and cultural centre in Vienna 1090 and 1200. Since 2018, more than 30 collectives, initiatives and political projects have shared our spaces to organize, create, learn and build community together.

At the beginning of 2026, we had to leave our longtime home at the Alte WU. While we successfully secured two new long-term spaces (4lthangrund 1090 – Nordbergstraße 8, 4lthangrund 1200 – Romanogasse 28) the move came with enormous costs: deposits, renovations, moving expenses and significantly higher rent. There is still around 40.000e missing till the end of the year. At the same time, our new locations are no longer suitable for concerts, parties and cultural events that helped finance our project and brought our community together.

That’s why we’re taking 4lthangrund on the road.

Over the coming months we’ll be organizing a series of solidarity events across different venues in Vienna. These events help us keep our spaces open, make culture and political organizing accessible, and raise funds for the ongoing costs of our new home. Every contribution—whether on stage, behind the scenes or at an infotable—helps sustain an independent, non-commercial and collectively organized space.

We’re looking for artists, musicians, DJs, VJs, performers, workshop hosts, initiatives, collectives and helping hands to make these events happen together.

What we’re looking for

🎤 Content & Program

Workshops, talks, discussions, screenings, readings, listening sessions, performances or other formats that invite people to exchange ideas, learn together and engage with political, social or cultural topics.

In the next events we want to specifically focus on topics around “right to the city” and “diy spaces” as well around the year topic on “re/pot” (so everything related to moving, belonging, arriving & leaving).

🎧 DJs & 🎸 Bands

From ambient afternoons to late-night dance floors, tekno to experimental soundscapes to punk shows—we’re excited about a broad range of musical contributions. Newcomers or long time legend – we welcome you all!

📺 VJs

Live visuals, projections, analogue experiments, mapping or digital artworks that transform spaces.

🎨 Artists

Installations, exhibitions, interventions, photography, sculpture, painting, textile, light art or interactive works. We want every venue to become more than just a stage.

📚 Infotables

Political, social and cultural initiatives are invited to present their work, campaigns, publications and projects. We believe that solidarity events are not only about fundraising, but also about meeting each other, exchanging ideas and strengthening movements.

🎭 Open Stage

Poetry, spoken word, stand-up, readings, acoustic music, performances or ideas that don’t fit into traditional formats.

🛠️ Support Crew

Behind every event is a team making everything run smoothly. Help at the bar, entrance, awareness, security, kitchen, setup, build-down, logistics or wherever an extra pair of hands is needed. No previous experience is necessary for most tasks (except: security & awareness)—motivation and reliability are what matter most.

Together we can create DIY spaces for music, culture, political organizing and collective joy—and help ensure that 4lthangrund continues to exist for many years to come.
