Von der Dämmerung bis zum Morgengrauen wollen wir ein letztes Mal in der alten WU tanzen, bevor wir diesen Ort verlassen und uns in unsere neuen Räumlichkeiten begeben.

Es ist an der Zeit, uns von unserer geliebten Alten Mensa zu verabschieden. Aber wir wollen nicht nur traurig sein. Wir wollen feiern! Seit 2018 arbeiten wir gemeinsam an diesem Ort. Die letzten Jahre waren voller Gedanken, Gespräche, Diskussionen und Tanzen. Neue Verbindungen konnten entstehen, unterschiedliche Perspektiven konnten eingenommen werden und Utopien erträumt werden.
Lasst uns das alles noch einmal in unserer letzten Nacht gemeinsam in der Alten Mensa tun.

Es gibt Open Decks, ein Karaokekammerl, Geschichten von 4lthangrund und viele DJs, die die alten Mauern zum Beben bringen werden. Kommt vorbei und tanzt mit uns!

From dusk till dawn we want to dance one last time at alte WU before we leave the place into our new spaces.

The time has come to say goodbye to our beloved Alte Mensa. But we don’t wanna just be sad about that. We wanna celebrate! Since 2018 we work on the area. The past years have been full of thinking, chatting, discussing and dancing. New connections could evolve, different perspectives could be seen and utopias imagined.
So let’s do it all one more time together in our last night at alte Mensa.

There will be Open Decks, Karaoke Booth, stories of 4lthangrund and lots of DJs who will bring the old walls to shake. Come by and dance with us!

Das live Projekt Core Affekt baut auf Techno und Ambient Elementen auf um mit Synthesizern und Drummachine in eine Welt der Klänge und Rhythmen einzutauchen und Emotionen zu wecken.

Resitant

Resitant ist unser aller Tante. Ihre erste EP heißt „Zerstreuung in Zeiten der Organisationswut“ und entstand in Folge des Aufräumens ihres Büros. Resitant hingibt sich dem Leben ohne Sinn: Dr Müllner nimmt sie das Geld und schwimmt einsam im Wiener Leitungswasser. Sie hält eure Karten in ihrer Hand.

Silja and Matti are best friends from Erlangen who moved to Vienna a year ago. Matti studies mathematics and Silja is currently doing her master’s degree in geology. Matti started DJing four years ago, mainly playing hard techno sets. A year ago, Silja started DJing as well and since then they have been performing B2B sets together. They love everything that’s fast, from speed house and speed garage to trance and hard trance, all the way up to hard techno. Being able to make music together brings them a lot of joy.

When she is djing live for a crowd dancing is the aim and purpose: vinyls of oldschool hiphop merge with contemporary bass musics and often lead to gabba and other sportive highspeed hardcore styles. As a scholar in cultural anthropology her research interests include club cultures, festivals, gender/ diversity, working conditions in the culture industries, or the economization of art & culture. In 2018 her book „Utopie und Apokalypse in der Pop Musik. Gabber und Breakcore in Berlin“ was published via the University of Vienna.

Fra (he/him, she/her) is a DJ based in Vienna. His sound can depend on his mood this week and ranges from slow, melancholic and sad to hyper, electric, peppy and rough; her music and way of mixing is always in relation to the people she makes music with. As music making for him is almost never an act of complete solitude. Fra is also part of the very new project/collective Booster Club which in its concept wants to create a space for DJs and music-producers that bases on the idea of sharing – to create, learn, support and push each other. One goal is to make this scene less isolating and individual. Fra entered the music scene through queer and feminist spaces, mostly DIY. Every set varies in the genres. To name a few: Hyperpop, Breakbeat, Deconstruced Club, Ghetto Tech, Nightcore, Hardcore, Pop, various forms of Tek, Dance/Electronic.
